Biberach (Baden) – not to be confused with Biberach an der Riß in Upper Swabia – lies in the Kinzigtal and is our starting point. The carnival and the fools play a big role in the region, which can already be seen at the Narrenbrunnen. Opposite the town hall is an old factory tower made of bricks, and with some luck, there are also storks because they nest here every year. We also head up high. Past the Konradskapelle to the over 750-year-old castle ruins of Hohengeroldseck. A wonderful complex with one of the most magnificent views over the Black Forest. At the end of the route, another highlight: Gengenbach. Due to the favorable climatic conditions, the area has long been a favored fruit and wine-growing region.
