Eutin, also called the "Rose City," is located in the middle of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park, surrounded by many lakes. This circular tour leads to the Great Eutin Lake, the Kellersee, and the idyllic Ukleisee, surrounded by forest. The outbound route to Sielbeck is part of the long-distance hiking trail (FWW) E1/E6.
Opposite the station at the beginning of the central bus station (ZOB), a passage through a house branches off and leads us to Peterstraße, which we then follow. After crossing Albert-Mahlstedt-Straße, the path continues straight through the pedestrian zone to the market square, which we cross to the left and leave again through an alley at its northeast corner. At the end of this alley, we reach Stolbergstraße. This leads us to the left to Schloßstraße, here right – past the Ostholstein Museum – over the castle forecourt. Those who wish can make a detour through the castle park, a significant horticultural masterpiece.The onward path leads left in front of the castle across the castle terraces down to the lakeside promenade at the Great Eutin Lake. After the small bay, we reach the ship pier. Behind it to the left, we turn onto Heinrich-Lüth-Weg. Now we go northwards along the edge of the lake park. At the end, we meet the FWW E1/E6, which we follow to Sielbeck. Immediately past it,
