The 25-meter-high Beri waterfall is located at the beginning of the Godič creek valley, which originates under Tolminski Triglav. Although crossing some scree is required, access to the waterfall is relatively easy and suitable for everyone. The surroundings of the waterfall with its pools are wild and magical in the right daylight. If we start walking from Tolmin, at the beginning of the path in the village of Žabče, we will enjoy a beautiful view of Tolmin, and a bit further on, we will see a fenced pasture of some domestic animal species, which are a real attraction for younger hikers. On the way back, the path takes us across meadows under the village of Prapetno all the way to the Soča river, along which we will stroll to the confluence of the Tolminka and Soča rivers, where festival atmosphere awaits us in summer. If we decide to start from Poljubinj, we have a nice and easy walk, ideal for a short escape from the city bustle into the wild nature.
Author’s recommendation
You can bike to Poljubinj, but you must park at the parking lot, as cycling is not allowed to the Beri waterfall.
The path is safe. It can be a bit slippery on the steeper sections when wet. In winter, caution is required due to possible icy spots.
Tips and suggestions
Parking available in Poljubinj. Upon entering the village, continue straight, then follow the signs to the Beri waterfall all the way to the parking lot.
Roadbook
At the beginning, we join the main road Tolmin-Ljubljana and follow it to the end of the town of Tolmin, crossing the bridge over the Tolminka. After the bridge, turn left onto a narrow and steep paved path that leads us to the road to the village of Žabče. In the center of the village, we continue on the road leading to Zadlaz - Žabče and after less than ten minutes turn right onto a dirt road, which we follow straight past the children's playground on the right all the way to the village of Poljubinj. We walk straight on the road to the intersection between houses numbered 40 and 34, where we turn slightly left, then at house number 41 on the left continue straight towards the parking lot. From the last house number 43, we descend down to the sluices, then cross to the left bank of the Godič creek. Passing by a hayrack, we follow the signs to the Beri waterfall on a well-trodden path, where occasional crossing of rockfalls caused by the earthquake is required. We return to the parking lot by the same route, but immediately after it, we take the left path that takes us to Poljubinj along the Godič creek. Upon reaching the road, turn left across the bridge and after a sharp bend, at the intersection, turn right towards the village of Prapetno. We follow the main road through the village, just before the last cluster of houses we find a dirt road that leads us across a meadow and under the main road to a gravel path by the Soča river. Here we turn right and follow the path all the way to the bridge over the Tolminka, cross the bridge and follow the right gravel road upwards. The path levels off after a few minutes, and after a few meters joins the paved road, which initially rises slightly, then continues flat all the way back to our starting point in Tolmin.

Buongiorno signora Beri :-)
"beri" in lingua slovena significa "leggere".
Ho sentito una leggenda secondo cui le parole cadevano dalla cascata raccontando storie che le persone potevano leggerle.
