Roadbook
We start in the Winnenden district Birkmannsweiler behind the industrial area at the corner of Hofkammerstraße/Mozartstraße. At the start, we follow the hiking sign red bar (GFW - Georg-Fahrbach-Weg) past the Buchenbachhof (former forestry house of the Hofkammer, now private property) into the forest. At the fork after about 1.5 km, we keep right without a hiking sign and meet after about 200m the sign of the Rems-Murr hiking trail. This path leads us to Berglen-Rettersburg. Via Wegscheide and Linsenhofstraße we reach Kelterstraße which we cross, then go briefly left and immediately turn right into Hanfackerweg. At the end of the path, we go briefly right and immediately left out of town. A few meters to the right of our path flows the Buchenbach. We continue towards the forest and cross the brook on a small bridge. At the forest edge, we turn left and leave the Rems-Murr hiking trail. Past the hiking parking lot, we continue up Königsbronnweg (from here we can follow hiking trail no. 6 of the municipality Berglen). We continue along the gravel path and reach after about 2 km the source of the Buchenbach. There is a cozy resting area there. Tables and benches are available. At the Buchenbach spring, the path makes a left turn. We continue along the gravel path that meanders through the forest until the parking lot between Stöckehof and Königsbronnhof. From there we continue following hiking trail 6 (Schöne Aussicht to Hohen Staufen) to Öschelbronn. We go via Ginsterstraße to the entrance of Öschelbronn and continue on Rosenstraße, passing the old town hall with its clock tower, to Lilienstraße. Here we turn right and after a few meters turn left into Primelstraße where we leave Öschelbronn. We hike along a gravel-grass path and see Stöckenhof to the top right. After a left turn, we reach the forest (area Lochklinge/Zwerenberg). We follow the forest path in gentle curves to the path coming from Linsenhof (here we leave Berglen hiking trail no. 6). We then go a few meters to the right and arrive at the forest playground and barbecue area Bürg (good resting facility). Shortly after the forest playground, we turn left onto an asphalt path and hike towards Schulerhof. We go along Flachswiesenstraße. After the former Schulerhof cabin, we turn right onto a grass path, go to an asphalt path and then continue left to a single house, where we turn right. At the next opportunity, we turn left and go to the forest edge where there is a small hiking parking lot. There we turn right into the forest. When we come out of the forest, we meet an asphalt path which we follow, always along the forest edge. The path then turns away from the forest and leads us directly back to the Buchenbachhof.
