This path forms a link from the Paleolithic to the Baroque period. It leads via the Schussen source (natural monument) to Steinhausen to the "most beautiful village church in the world." On the way back, it passes by a wayside shrine of the Protective Mantle Madonna to the Frenchmen's grave. An impressive conclusion to the hike is the monastery complex.

From the market square, passing the glacier garden, the Schussen source is reached. About 15,000 years ago, Paleolithic nomadic hunters stayed there. They used a geological bottleneck to hunt migrating reindeer herds. Via the settlement of Aichbühl, the Riedschachen area is reached. The signposts continue through the forest, and on a paved path, you reach the Weilberg with beautiful views of the glacier tongue-shaped landscape. Upon reaching the summit, the village of Steinhausen with its baroque pilgrimage church reveals its full splendor. The path leads down to Steinhausen, where a visit to the church is recommended. Continuing through Steinhausen along the country road past a wayside shrine to the "Frenchmen's grave," which commemorates the dead of the Napoleonic Wars. Via Lauhaus and Olzreute, you reach the outskirts of Bad Schussenried; from there, you proceed along the St. Magnus church and the monastery back to the market square.
