The short circular hike takes us into the Enz valley. We follow the river along valley paths from Roßwag to Mühlhausen. Over the long ridge of the Bromberg, we return on forest and field paths.
The hike takes us from the Enz bridge in Roßwag on Flößerstraße to the Enz. We follow the asphalted Enz loop cycle and hiking trail through the wide Enz floodplain, the so-called »Schlosswiesen« (castle meadows). At the iron pedestrian bridge over the Enz, a sign indicates the flood level from December 21, 1993; the valley floodplain in the large Enz loop must have been flooded with water up to several meters high at that time and a single lake. We do not cross the bridge but stay on the Enz loop path and continue straight ahead. On the right, small rows of vineyards stretch up to the steeply rising rock walls. Poppies and brightly red snapdragons bloom in the vineyards framed by dry stone walls. We hike in the valley around the Enz loop. After the flood protection construction, we leave the asphalted path and continue on the dam. At the sports field, we reach Mühlhausen on the Enz. Behind the sports field, we cross the Enz on the wooden bridge and go slightly uphill on the service
