You quickly climb first from Asciano to Monte della Conserva and then up to the summit of Monte Faeta. Afterwards, you descend to Campo di Croce and then quickly climb again to the Spuntone di Santallago. From here, you descend to the homonymous plain. You return to Campo di Croce and then, taking Via degli Acquedotti, descend again to Asciano, first gently and then more steeply.
You quickly climb first from Asciano to Monte della Conserva and then up to Monte Faeta. Afterwards go down to the Campo di Croce and quickly climb up again to the Spuntone di Santallago. From here one descends to the homonymous plain. Return to Campo di Croce and then, taking Via degli Acquedotti, descend again to Asciano, first gently and then more sloped.

From Pisa take the SP2 Calcesana, which you leave just outside the city to take Via dei Condotti, which runs alongside the old Medici aqueduct.
