For our hike on the Art Trail at Reichenbach and the Hunter's Path, you should be surefooted. The Art Trail at Reichenbach is suitable for prams, the Hunter's Path is not.
The start of our eventful route is the Hilpertsau light rail station. Through the residential area we follow the signposts towards Art Trail/Reichental. After the Reichentaler Strasse bus stop and the carpentry, we are already at the entrance to the "Art Trail at Reichenbach". Along the approx. 3 km long path through the Reichenbach valley with its typical Tyrolean hay huts for the Murgtal, various works of art have been installed since 2004. The association "Art Trail at Reichenbach" offers a guided tour of the Art Trail on the first Sunday of each month. You will learn a lot about the creation of the path, the artists and the exhibits. At the entrance to the district Reichental, we cross the local road (L76b) and hike a short steep section uphill. After about 150 meters we turn left onto the "Hunter's Path". After just a few steps the path runs over meadows, then it continues "over stock and stone" on the narrow, shady path through the forest. After the first short ascent we can hike fairly level over Rockertwiesen, Breitegrund, Büchet, Hintere Schwann to Brandeck. There the Hunter's Path ends and we go past the Scheuern school through the district Scheuern to the Gernsbach Mitte stop. Here you have the possibility to return home with public transport or of course to stop at one of the numerous restaurants in the Gernsbach old town.
