With impressive views over Ettlingen, the Albtal valley and the Rhine plain, we hike along the panoramic trail below Ettlingen's local mountain up to the radio tower near Grünwettersbach. We return along the popular mule track on the edge of the Rhine valley, with great views.
From the terminus of the S-Bahn in Ettlingen-Albgaubad, we walk across the parking lot in front of it to Schöllbronner Straße, turn left and immediately turn right into Luisenstraße. Passing the swimming pool, we cross the Alb and turn left next to the magnificent Hotel Watthalden building into the park of the same name. Passing gigantic sequoia trees, we leave the park at the upper, diagonally opposite end. Keeping to the right, we climb the steps and follow the yellow diamond. At the old water reservoir, we walk a few meters to the left and turn right before the baroque wayside shrine onto the paved panoramic path over the Robberg. Albrecht Ritter
