37 degrees in Besançon drove us out of the city - we found a wonderful refreshment around the Source Du Lison - and I highly recommend this mostly shaded circular route for hiking!
The path is certainly suitable for more or less any other weather, the highlights along the route are breathtaking and easily make you forget the time. It’s a good thing the route isn’t too long!

The route starts at the well-developed parking lot near the source, which of course must be visited first: the short path into the source cave is an absolute highlight, as is the karst basin “Creux Billard.”
Saturated with impressions, the path goes uphill over well-developed trails and also enchanted paths (along the way you can visit a 300-year-old oak) up to the rarely trafficked road to Crouzet-Migette. Unfortunately, we must follow this for a few hundred meters (according to OpenStreetMaps there may also be a trail through the forest - but it was too overgrown for us) until the blue-yellow marking leads us back onto a service road. A small, wild path (not shown on the OutdoorActive map!) is well marked and leads us to the “summit”. We pass the farming village of Crouzet-Migette and from there follow the perfectly marked GR through forest and meadows (in June 2022 the grass stood knee-high and was crawling with ticks!). The descent is quite steep but unproblematic - and the remaining return path along the Lison is a leisurely walk - with the final highlight “Grotte Du Sarrazine.”
