Around the Sam

From Laurein (1148 m) always following marker 26, first on a narrow road through meadows and past farms up to the forest, then through meadows and past farms again up to the forest, then through it on a forest road up to the hay huts and mountain meadows of Rentsch; now crossing flatter forest terrain and slopes into the dilapidated alpine hut Sam (1777 m), following marker 26, partly level, partly slightly ascending through forest and meadows northwards to path 5 branching off to the right. On this now southeastwards to the nearby Britschner Alm (1848 m), then on an old military road (always marker 5) on a long hike, partly level, partly slightly descending mostly through forest to the raised bog Langmoos (approx. 1570 m), further to the junction with path 1 and finally on this, last on a narrow road past the farms Eggern and Kerschmern, southwest down to Laurein.
