Follow the hiking trail marker No. 6
The starting point at St. Georgen Abbey offers a wonderful view of the idyllic Längsee with its surrounding reed and swamp forest belt. After a somewhat challenging ascent southwards to the Otwinskogel, you reach the unique viewpoint above the "Oberweinzer" farm, where you can take a short rest on a wooden bench and enjoy the view of Hochosterwitz Castle. Here the descent begins (keep left) along a gravel road to the village of Launsdorf. Turn left before the church. After crossing the northern part of the village, a gentle ascent begins along the foot of Buchberg. The shady forest path turns northwest again; in the distance, the Altmannsberg ruin and Mannsberg Castle are visible. Passing Rottenstein and the Rottensteiner Kreuz field monument, the path leads back to the starting point, St. Georgen Abbey.
