The Bogenberg is crisscrossed by many small destination paths with which you can "build" individual routes. There are many maps to orient yourself. It is best to take a photo of them and keep looking at it repeatedly.
Our route begins on the state road between Bogen and Pfelling; opposite the military area there is a parking lot. The ascent leads us over the Danube panorama trail past St. Ulrich Chapel and then to the Marian Grotto. Via a small street, we reach the Pilgrimage Church Maria Himmelfahrt. From here you have a nice view of the Gäuboden and the Danube flowing below. The path goes downhill along the Stations of the Cross and before the first houses, we turn left (the path is unmarked here for a few meters). At the next intersection, we meet trail no. 9, which we now follow. Then it continues on trail no. 7 back to the Marian Grotto. From there we follow trail no. 3 past the Salvator Chapel. After some time, we meet the Danube panorama trail again, which leads us down back to the parking lot and our starting point.
Nice small circular route that can be combined freely. Ideal for an afternoon walk.
