The Kraichgau is often referred to as the "German Tuscany." While the comparison might be a bit far-fetched, the sight of the vine-surrounded Ravensburg Castle could actually confirm it. Time and again, we get to see the proud bergfried (keep) from different perspectives. Inspiring art installations along the Eppingen Lines Trail ensure there is no boredom, and the Educational Adventure Trail offers some variety for children as well.
Starting from the train station in Sulzfeld, we hike eastwards to the main road. We cross it, turn left, cross the tracks, and immediately turn right. Now we walk 200 m parallel to the tracks until the path bends to the left. We turn nearly 180 degrees and walk through the underpass beneath the tracks. After crossing Friedrichstraße, we find a pleasant pedestrian path along the Kohlbach stream. At Mühlbacher Straße, we turn left and again left onto Neuhöfer Straße. At the fork, we keep right and head towards the cemetery. Before the prayer hall, we take the paved uphill path on the right. After the long Thuja hedge, the path turns left and after a water reservoir changes into a gravel path. At some distance, we can already perceive the mighty bergfried of Ravensburg. Albrecht Ritter
