The circuit around Lindenberg can be started anywhere on the circular path. The route is marked with a green linden leaf on the signposts. Suitable parking is available at the Nadenberg holiday village, Austraße, and the mountain cemetery. We describe the hike starting from Nadenberg. From the parking lot, we first go into the holiday village and climb the lookout tower there. The magnificent panoramic view stretches over Upper Swabia to Lake Constance, further to the Swiss, Austrian, and Allgäu mountains. Now we hike along the ridge path through the holiday village eastward and pass wide meadows on a field path towards Goßholz. Here we turn left at the main road, walk 150 m on the sidewalk, before a small lane to the Röthenbach - Lindenberg foot and cycle path leads us right. We walk straight down into the Goßholz ravine, cross the Mühlbach stream, and soon climb steeply up to Weihers.

A paved lane brings us into the small village, where we turn right towards Manzen. At the inn “Bavaria” we keep right again. Now it goes steeply uphill, and soon the Rothachtal valley with the Weiler market lies at our feet. The view broadens towards the Alps and as far as the mountains of Liechtenstein and Switzerland. We now enter a residential district of the town, walk straight on (“Auf der Hub”), cross Alemannen- and Staufner street, and pass by “Lindenhof” towards Bergstraße. Here we turn right and immediately left into Buchenweg. Over Ahornweg, which leads through the so-called mountain colony, we reach Hirschbergstraße. Here we walk slightly uphill on the sidewalk and after 200 m come to a cross with a bench. (A short detour to the beautiful mountain cemetery with its architecturally interesting funeral hall is recommended.) Our path veers slightly right, passes a small barn on the left, and descends to a farm. Further downhill across the meadow to Hansenweiherstraße, which we cross. A path leads over a bridge of the Mühlbach to the indoor swimming pool path. On a paved path, we walk left slightly uphill to the school center, go over the parking lot to the traffic light at Pfänderstraße. After crossing, sidewalks along Peter-Dörfler-Straße take us to the turn off for Fridolin-Holzer-Straße. Left 50 m downhill and then straight ahead a staircase steeply down to Austraße parking lot. Again, we turn left towards the forest lake. After refreshing ourselves in the lake, we walk along the east shore (forest lake hotel) towards the spa. (At the forest lake hotel, a shortcut is possible: follow the signpost “Kneipp wading pool/Nadenberg” to the right! The path is always marked with “Nadenberg”.) Our path now leads straight through meadows and forest slightly uphill to Ratzenberg. Looking back, we see the Nagelfluh mountain chain with the dominant Hochgrat and, once at the top, down into the Württemberg Allgäu. Following the signposts, we enter the small village of Ratzenberg, cross the road, and walk straight, then right, and left again into the forest. Then it goes along a feeding place for wild animals at the forest edge to the hospital. Before the gate, we turn left and soon come through forest and finally across a meadow and along a good path back to Nadenberg. For strollers, it is partially difficult in the Goßholz ravine (here better: follow the cycle path towards the town center, at the last house of Goßholz turn left onto the unpaved field path and continue towards town until the former Ellgasser mill, then go uphill left to Kellershub, where we rejoin the circular route. From the forest lake, be sure to use the shortcut!)
