Around Effeld

The route starts in the Netherlands at the Gitstapper Mill parking lot. The entire route runs along the German-Dutch border. From the impressive Gitstapper Mill, it goes to the Effelder Waldsee, which attracts many bathers in summer. The forest lake is beautifully located and is ideal as a photo motif. Along the path at the lake, small streams flow. This path is also very suitable for dogs. Now the lake is behind us, and it continues to the old Rur, where you will find some wild geese, and birds of prey fly over. After the old Rur, you reach the Effelder Sport Fishing Club, which has some nicely designed ponds. From there the path leads to Effeld and to the imposing House Effeld. Then the Catholic Herz-Jesu Church is passed. Now we leave Effeld again to enter the Effelder Forest, returning to the Gitstapper Mill.
