As the Königssee is bordered on all sides by cliffs, some of which break off abruptly, there are breathtaking views from several vantage points. One of the most famous of these is the view from the Jenner, another from the Feuerpalfen in the Gotzenalm area - the view from the Archenkanzel not far from the Kührointalm is no less spectacular. From the large parking lot in Königssee, follow the tourist promenade down to the lake, then turn right over the Wehr bridge. The path to Kühroint begins on the other side, which soon leads past the artificial ice toboggan run and up through the Klingergraben, initially following the ascent path to Grünstein. After 45 minutes, the path (Mark. 443) branches off to the left to the Klingeralm. Always slightly ascending through forest - you cross the forest road coming up from Schönau at Herrenroint - you then reach Kühroint with the alpine pastures and the accommodation and rest hut, 1420 m. Directly at the Kühroint hut, the hiking trail (Mark. S 10)
