On the archaeological long-distance trail A2 from Vernagt past the Similaun Hut to Vent in the Ötztal
The starting point of the long-distance hike is the reservoir near Vernagt. From here, take the narrow asphalt road up around Tisenhof. Then follow the Tisentalbach along the archaeological trail A2 upwards. Below the Finailspitz, turn right steeply up to the Similaun Hut. From here, hike on trail 2A to the Ötzi discovery site. Return to the shelter and continue left along the long-distance trail into the Ötztal. Follow along the Niederjochbach down to the Martin-Busch Hut and out to Vent.
