Whether as a day tour or as a stage on the Kreuzeckhöhenweg, this hike is a truly memorable experience. For a day tour, the starting point should be directly from the Kuhalm. Easily accessible by car via a 4.5 km long mountain road, this turns the hike to the Ederplan and the Anna Hut into a relatively easy mountain pleasure. Although 4.5 hours walking time for the tour from the Lainacher Kuhalm there and back should be planned, the effort remains moderate. The ridge hike on the Kreuzeck ridge, the Ederplan, as an incredibly scenic peak with the Heimkehrer cross and the idyllic shelter offer hikers special impressions here in the western part of the Kreuzeck group.
When returning to the Kuhalm, a stop for a cheese snack, which is produced here at the dairy, is almost mandatory.
This descent or ascent is ideal if one has set the Kreuzeckhöhenweg as a goal. The start or end point will be Bad Lainach directly on the Mölltal federal road! The ideal connection to public bus transport is an advantage in this case.

Roadbook
The tour is described here in the sense of the descent after crossing the Kreuzeck group:
After a good 10-minute ascent to the Ederplan from the Anna shelter with a dream view of the Lienz valley basin, follow the mountain ridge eastwards along a wooden fence for about 20 minutes. At the lowest point before Loneskopf, the path branches off halfway left; follow this until you slowly enter the high forest again on a ridge. Follow this until you reach 1420 meters above sea level the Ronahütte with the Lainacher Kuhalm. It will take about 2 1/4 hours to get here, allowing you to stretch your feet for a good cheese snack and buttermilk under the guest table. Those who have planned this tour as the last stage of the Kreuzeck crossing should definitely try to buy a piece of mountain cheese as a tasty souvenir from the tour. However, due to high demand at the dairy, there is not always enough cheese available. If you have not left a car here, you can also comfortably cover the remaining 5 kilometers to the valley with the alpine taxi, which runs in summer. Long-distance hikers will of course gladly manage the good hour to the end of their tour. A bus stop for the return trip to Kolbnitz to the Kreuzeckbahn is very close by!
