Take this impressive wide paved trail above the western coast of Andros, starting just outside of Batsi, to reach Ano Aprovatou where route 9 begins.
This route moves for a long time on an impressive wide slate paved trail, the quality of which makes the hiker think about the type and amount of work that went into creating this road. The trail begins just outside of Batsi and heads south, along the west coast of Andros, towards Ano Aprovatou, where it ends. As the cobblestone from one point on is lost under the vegetation, the route continues to traverse to the south, steadily having an unobstructed view towards the western coast of the island and the lands that lie before it. Through a chain of paths, dirt roads and concrete roads, route 11a reaches its end, where route 9 begins at Ano Aprovatou to continue onward along the old commercial trail.
