A little south of the village Hintersee, in the dreamy corner of the Salzkammergut, we hike on the slopes of Ladenberg, Sattelköpfl, Regenspitz, and Feichtenstein through the valleys of Ladenbach and Tiefenbach. We do not follow any “conventional” hiking path but an old alpine path that has been made accessible again. Initially, it goes from Satzstein, a “misplaced block” and a natural power place along the bubbling Ladenbach to the Hansl Church, a 25 m deep cave over which a small waterfall plunges. The next destination is the extensive Ladenbergalm, which offers a cozy stopover with the Hauser hut. Over a saddle, it continues to the next alpine pasture, Bergalm, which, together with Neureith hut and Bergalm, offers two snack stations in a splendid setting. This is followed by a long stretch through the coniferous forest to the Feichtenalm and then the descent via the Tiefenbach gorge viewing platform. In Hintersee, there is a dollhouse museum to visit.
