Alpendorf-Panorama Trail with Tree Educational Path

The starting point is the Alpine village. First, you walk past the first hotels. After the Haven Mountain Retreat, turn right to the Oberforsthof Alm. Passing the restaurant on the right, an ascending path leads to the Gut Berg Hotel and from there continues over the Gut Berg Stadl to the Panorama Apartments Weitenmoos.

On this section between the Gut Berg Hotel and the Panorama Apartments Weitenmoos, a tree educational trail has been established, as the entire Austrian tree population (all coniferous and deciduous trees – over 30 species!) grows along this path. The individual tree species are presented with description panels. These indicate their occurrence, further the use of the wood type (timber, construction timber, etc.), the fruits of the trees, and more. Additionally, visitors find a rest area with general information listing everything worth knowing about the tree population in Austria, a wood identification station, a "tree crown mirror," a "tree hugging station," as well as a rest area with wooden sunshades and reclining chairs that complete the tree educational trail.

From the Panorama Apartments Weitenmoos, follow the road downhill back to the starting point in the Alpine village.
