Along the Barthe

From your parking lot, cross Barthe Street and go into the opposite street Am Galgenberg. Follow it to its end, which leads into a forest hiking trail. Now follow this path until you reach a crossroads at a campsite. Here continue straight ahead into the forest. After a while, you will come to a spot popular with anglers that offers you the chance to experience the Barthe up close. Continue along the enchanted hiking trail. At a clearing, you will reach a large meadow on your right. You must now walk along the Plattenstraßen, an agricultural service road, which allows you to turn left. After 300 meters, you come to another agricultural road, which you take to the right. You now walk flanked by large wide fields until you reach a T-junction, where you follow the road to the right and come directly to the Barthe. Here you reach the remains of an old bridge that once led over the Barthe. Now take the path to the left along the Barthe bank. You now pass the village of Divitz, which gained some fame due to its old water castle. After about 1.5 km, turn left into the village and then follow the village road to the right into the neighboring Frauendorf. Passing the old houses and stables, you continue on the village road, which after some time bends to the left. At this point, turn right and from a distance you will already see an iron pedestrian bridge that takes you back over the Barthe. Then turn right and hike along the Barthe until you reach the remains of the former bridge near Divitz again. Follow the Plattenweg over the wide meadows and fields along the Barthe. At the edge of the Barth city forest, you reach Barth-Planitz and shortly after also the district road, which you now follow back towards Barth. Here you cross the bridge over the Barthe and thus reach the starting point of the route.
