Algund - Vellau - Leiter Alm
Hiking in the mountains of Merano
Tour provided by the Algund Tourism Association The Leiter Alm, a mountain inn, is a three-hour challenge with a 1200m difference in altitude for experienced mountain hikers. From the centre of Algund you walk via Algund village to the Schlundenstein (trail no. 25 A) and continue uphill via the Jägersteig trail to the Vellau car park. From there continue on trail no. 26, the Leiter Almweg über Kienegger - Oberplatzer, from here on trail no. 25 A, and then arrive at the Leiter Alm after the Korb lift mountain station. The Rückweg is recommended by basket and chair lift.
