Our hike on the panorama path and through the large and small caves starts at the car park above Schweinsmühle with a magnificent panoramic view of Franconian Switzerland.
To the left the wide Ahorn valley, in front of us the Ailsbach with its coral rocks from prehistoric times and to the right stands Rabenstein Castle as protector and guardian over the whole scene.

From the hiking car park, we enjoy the view and start at the left end of the low wall, taking the narrow path through the bushes down to the road. We follow it to the right to the bridge, cross it and then immediately turn right at the edge of the forest onto the narrow path.
We follow this path straight ahead to Ludwig Cave, passing the junction upwards that we will take after the cave. We leave the cave through the large gate down to the stream, but immediately turn right to rejoin our outward path.
At the junction we had previously passed, we now climb up and follow the panorama path over Ludwig Cave to Neumühle. Then continue on the other bank of the stream through the forest to Oberailsfeld.
For the rest of the hike, follow the track, as the map is unreliable here, to return tiredly to the car park.
