The hamlet of Dirsching lies on the valley floor of Val Gardena.
From the tourist office in Lajen follow the Dirsching sign. The trail passes a few new buildings and then gently descends through the unsettled cultural landscape that is so typical of Lajen. After about 20 minutes you are at Untertschutscher, a mighty farmhouse. The path passes a few more buildings and then reaches Grödner Straß. It has to be crossed at a rather unclear point. The trail continues into the valley through a forest of trees, always descending gently. At Gasthof Stern, called Dirsching by the locals, you reach the Grödner Talstraß (restaurant, bus stop). If you don't want to return the same way, you can take the bus to Waidbruck at Gasthof Stern.
