The Aue mining trail is the historical vein and leads past all UNESCO World Heritage sites of the large district town of Aue, along with wonderful views. Immerse yourself in the history of the industrial city.

- Vestenburger Stollen visitor mine - witness of tin mining in the city of Aue
- Weisse Erden Zeche St. Andreas Fundgrube had the electoral privilege in the 17th century to supply kaolin to the Meissen porcelain manufactory. Today it is managed as a residential building and guesthouse.

- Wellner factory - the Wellner company (founded 1845) was the largest of its kind in Germany in 1913. Around 1927 the Aue operation was considered one of the world's leading cutlery companies.

Roadbook
The circular route begins, like all city hiking paths, at the "Lila Herz" on the Altmarkt in the Aue district and leads you past the red church to the City Museum. It continues on the mining trail to the Vestenburger Stollen. After about 1 km you reach the World Heritage site "Weisse Erden Zeche". Afterwards, the hiking path leads over the Heidelberg. Enjoy wonderful views over the Aue valley before you begin the descent via a forest hiking trail towards the "Hammerherrenhaus" and the former cutlery and silverware factory Wellner. From there, it is only a few meters back to the Altmarkt. Via the poet path with wooden sculptures you reach the Simmelcenter, a modern shopping center in the renovated former factory "Texima".
