The Drei-Türme circular hiking trail starts at the Kota Radja parking lot and extends over 11.6 kilometers. Via a footpath, hikers reach Goldberg. Shortly after entering the forest, the first tower, the Bismarck Tower, can be seen. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century in memory of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck and inaugurated on July 2, 1901.
The path continues through the city forest and over the heights of the Riegerberg. At the Stern junction, it continues along Eggenweg and Griebweg to the Kaiser Friedrich Tower. Initially built as a wooden tower in May 1891 on the Hesterthardt, it was very popular among the population. On July 2, 1901, it was struck by lightning and rebuilt as a stone tower in 1910 with the help of donations. Above the entrance of the 17-meter-high brick building is a bronze relief portrait of Friedrich III. After paying a small fee at the nearby inn, climbing the tower is also possible.
The route then proceeds toward Forsthaus Deerth via the Kaiser-Friedrich-Pfad and Försterpfad. Further along, the path leads to the Eugen Richter Tower. The Eugen Richter Tower is a double-tower structure made of rubble stone and is accessible during the observatory's opening hours in summer on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. (as well as on request). The last stretch passes the Waldlust and returns to the starting point at Kota Radja.
