This stage takes you across a dry coastal plateau with no significant elevations, except for the climb from Ribeira de Seixe. Between Odeceixe and Rogil lies farmland dotted with many small farms and forests. The first part of the trail from Rogil to Aljezur initially follows a dirt track. Just before Aljezur, we cross a small range of hills before the trail takes us through the town’s historic center to Aljezur’s market square.
We start in Odeceixe at the intersection of Variante 19 de Abril and Rua do Rio. There is also an information sign for the Rota Vicentina here. We walk down Rua do Rio toward the village center and continue along Rua do Outão toward the parish church. Then we climb the steps through the first alleyway to the left (Travessa das Camélias) to Rua 25 de Abril. We follow this alley to the left through a lovely residential street (with house facades painted white and blue). Along the way, we can take a detour to a windmill with a viewing terrace. The building is occasionally open and can also be toured from the inside.Continuing along Rua 25 do Abril, we reach a roundabout. We cross it straight ahead and leave the village via Rua do Chabouco, but remain on paved roads. To our left are residential buildings; to our right, a pasture stretches out. Following the trail markers, we turn left onto a side road and walk along the edge of the Malhadais residential neighborhood toward the N120 highway.
