We leave Geras to the north and cross a hilly landscape with many fields and forests. We pass the small places Kottaun and Wolfsbach and return to Drosendorf-Altstadt / Drodendorf at the Thaya. The historic town also has a notable former castle, now a hotel. On the other side of the Thaya bank, we have to climb to a plateau again. After a wide loop, we can reach the Thaya again in Pfrimmersdorf. From there it is not far to Eibenstein, where a ruin looks down from the mountain.

We start in the town center of Geras, pass the abbey and the abbey ponds, and climb up on the other valley side to the former Meierhof. There we cross the B30, go towards the station which we leave on the left and continue straight ahead for about 1200 m on L1167. Then we turn left into the forest and emerge again at Kottaun. We can follow the excellent marking along the edge of the Saasfeld, reach Buchberg, then turn north (right) until we again meet a settlement and the L1170 at Wolfsberg. For 600 m we stay on the country road and then turn left. At first, we have about 2 km of farm roads, then the route leads us to Drosendorf on natural paths and trails. In Drosendorf-Altstadt, we first head towards the Thaya and then take the "Winter Promenade" into the upper town. At the European Circle, we initially choose the way to the town center. After the visit, we nearly return here and take the path between houses 16 and 18 (well marked). Now it goes steeply down to the Thaya bridge. We cross the bridge and continue walking on the left bank path. At Robesgraben, the way goes uphill again until we reach Autendorf, a small hamlet. From here, it goes further uphill to the forest. From there on, we initially go downhill again until we meet the Thaya again at Primmersdorf Castle. We turn left onto the B30 federal road, cross the bridge, and then leave the B30 immediately on the right. Now we have a short way above the Thaya until we reach the Eibenstein castle ruin again at the B30 and our day's destination.
