Clockwise, the route descends slightly from the Start at the community center along the state road, soon turning left into a settlement and onto forest and meadow paths. After about one kilometer, a farm road is crossed, where a somewhat hidden detour to the „Gypsy Beech“ is located. From here, it continues back to the first summit cross at Herzogreither Rock. After the ascent, it goes steeply down between 2 rocks to Herzogreith and further to the End of the World Stone.

In the Aubachtal valley, we reach the lowest point of our hike; the following 300 meters of altitude to the Rehberg are covered in 3 km and represent the longest ascent of the route. Midway up, we find the 3-Summit Bar with self-service and organic cooling.

The final ascent to the Rehberg is looped; just be careful not to miss the ascent. The descent from the Rehberg is also steeper, with a risk of slipping!

The route continues on the farm road, past the Pechölstein. Then it follows forest and meadow paths to Langfirling. There is an opportunity to stop at GH Pieber. Please note opening hours and reservations! https://fleischerei-piber.at/gasthaus.html

After Langfirling, the route follows along the state road, which is somewhat winding over a hill, so be sure to watch for traffic.

We now reach the last mountain with a summit cross. Before ascending Haiderberg, pay attention to the intersection; straight ahead goes up the mountain, and after returning, it continues downhill.

At the end of the descent, the state road is crossed, and the ascent to St. Leonhard begins. At the edge of town, you can take a short detour to Augenbründel, where a spring is available for refreshment.

Next comes the final ascent to the Predigtperg. Once at the top, the Susi Wallner lookout can possibly be climbed.

From there, the route goes directly back to the starting point of the hike.
