The route takes you today directly to Lake Silvaplana, a well-known surfing spot that is particularly popular with windsurfers and kite surfers due to the strong Maloja wind. The path leads you along the crystal-clear, partly turquoise lake, whose beauty you can enjoy throughout the entire route. The not too wide path is often well frequented, as the lake is a popular destination for many cyclists and walkers.
The tour continues through the so-called Engadine lake plateau, which includes Lake Sils, Lake Silvaplana, Lake Champfèrer, and Lake St. Moritz. The latter is especially famous when it freezes over in February and serves as the venue for the horse races of St. Moritz. A part of the famous Engadine Ski Marathon also runs over the frozen Lake St. Moritz.
As you continue the route, you leave the exclusive winter sports resort of St. Moritz and ride along the rushing Inn and Flaz rivers. The gentle sound of the water accompanies you on your way, creating a pleasant, calming atmosphere. New gravel and sandbanks have been created along the rivers to promote local wildlife - beavers, otters, vipers, and numerous fish species feel at home here again.
Your destination, the bobsleigh village Celerina, lies ahead. Celerina is known for its particularly many hours of sunshine, which it enjoys thanks to the valley layout that opens in three directions. Here you can relax after the tour.
