Dreamlike e-bike route from Garmisch-Partenkirchen across the Austrian border to the Plansee.
The Tyrolean Plansee, framed by the Ammergau Alps, is the destination of this moderate e-bike route. In between lies the scenic panoramic trail with views of Grainau, the steeply rising Wetterstein Mountains, and the bank of the Loisach. On the first part of the route, a challenging ascent with just over 300 meters of elevation awaits. The Plansee invites you to swim before a relaxed ride downhill back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

From the ski jump stadium we cross the Loisach and ride along the railway tracks towards Eibsee. At the outskirts of Garmisch-Partenkirchen we turn right and switch to the Loisach bike path. In Griesen, we leave the bike path to the northwest and follow the signs to the Plansee. Along the Neidermach, after a few kilometers we reach the lake shore. The return route to Garmisch-Partenkirchen follows the same path.

The starting point at the Olympiahaus is located directly at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen-Kainzenbad train station and the Skistadion bus stop.
