From the welcome square, ride towards the church and turn left into "Steinach" street just before it. Take the next right, then immediately left into Von-Lingg-Straße, the next right into Lindenstraße, and again left into Poststraße. Follow this and Fichtenstraße further; at the end, turn left onto a gravel path that leads over a small bridge. Immediately after, turn right along the stream to the road. Sharp left turn towards Hertingen. Just after the railway track, follow the path to the right into and through Wank. Cross the federal road and ride into Pfronten-Kappel. Here, turn right and take Einfängweg to Pfronten-Röfleuten and continue towards Vilstal.
Upon reaching the Vils, follow it upstream, past Gasthof Vilstalsäge and Kalbelehof to the Vils reservoir shortly before Schattwald, the highest point of the tour. Circle around the Vils reservoir and follow the signs to Unterjoch and further to Wertach. Along this route, you will pass Sorgalpe, where you can refresh yourself with a snack.
At Wertach, follow the signposts to Grüntensee, ride along its east shore up to the dam, then continue along Wertach to the Römerbrücke. From here, go uphill on the road to Gschwend and after the village, turn left under the federal road, pass a container factory, and continue on a temporarily narrow path to the Nesselwang district of Brand. Pass the first houses, cross the railway track to the left, then at the next intersection turn right, pass the cemetery, and return to the school.
