This route shows you the scenic beauties around Hallenberg.
Cycling once around the southernmost town of Hochsauerland means picture-book views of the rolling landscape and picturesque towns. Tip: The route is perfect for cycling "with a tailwind." Three e-bike charging stations are located directly on the way.
Hallenberg as the first – or alternatively the last – stage is an experience in itself. The historic old town with the marketplace and the "Kump" definitely deserves a stroll. The route leads through the wide, flat Nuhneaue – the country's largest contiguous mowed meadow area and the "living room" of the whinchat. In Braunshausen, cyclists dream for a while at the small chapel.
In Dreislar, the heavy spar museum is an exciting destination. Visitors take a journey through 4.6 billion years of earth history, experience multimedia mining history, discover meteorites, stardust, and the marvelous "Dreislar Roses" – blossoms made of shimmering mineral. Towards the end of the route, a great panoramic view of Hesborn impresses once again.
