The start is at the Hotel Alte Schleiferei. From here we ride to Schwarzenberger Straße, cross it and use the newly created bicycle path down the Schwarzwassertal to Breitenbrunn. At the 2nd bridge we turn right into the main street and follow it uphill to the Erlaer junction, then turn left. We cycle via Cranforfer and Breitenbrunner Straße into the Schwarzenberg district of Crandorf. At the height of Pension Bergidyll, we can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of the Western Ore Mountains with the upper basin of the PSW Markersbach. About 300 m down the valley, we turn right into Grünstädtler Straße. In the Grünstädtel district, we follow the street layout to Pöhlaer Straße and follow it to Pöhla. At the end of Pöhlaer Straße, we take the designated bike path, following the Pöhlwasser upstream via Globenstein to Rittersgrün. At the Citroen car dealership, we turn left into Kirchstraße and follow it through Hammerrittersgrün to the Saxon Narrow Gauge Railway Museum and further along Karlsbader Straße towards Oberwiesenthal. At the town exit, we turn right into Zollstraße. We follow this on the Czech side to the designated bike path 2008 and turn right towards Halbemeile. At Halbemeile, we join path 2002 and follow the marked bike path via Potucky / Breitenbach to the border crossing at Johanngeorgenstadt past the Wittigsthal plant to the train station. We follow Schwarzenberger Straße back to the starting point in Erlabrunn or can also turn right near the railway barrier towards Rabenberg and follow the marked hiking trail over Rabenbergweg, Heuschuppenweg - past the Walter-Keiderling climbing trail at Nonnenfelsen - back to Erlabrunn.
