Znojmo -> Nový Šaldorf - Sedlešovice -> Načeratice -> Vrbovec -> Dyjákovičky -> State border -> Klein-haugsdorf -> Klein-riedenthal -> Ragelsdorf -> Retz
The trip starts in the town of Znojmo, where history breathes in every corner. We will follow cycle route no. 126 along the Dyje river, along the St. Clement educational trail, which Saint Klement Maria Hofbauer walked, a native of Tasovice and a baker from Znojmo, who later became the patron of two European capitals – Vienna and Warsaw. We will pass by the Premonstratensian monastery in Louka, which was founded in 1190 by Prince Konrád Otta. After the monastery, we will cross a bridge, turn left, and follow the Moravian wine trail to reach Nový Šaldorf. Here, we will connect to a cycle path called Wein und Kultur Radweg, which leads to Načeratic. At the crossroads, we will turn right and follow cycle route no. 5007 to reach the village of Vrbovec. Here, we can ride a 5 km long educational trail called Grape Goats, which will introduce us to old winemaking traditions, a cellar lane, and local vineyards. After the tour, we will head to Dyjákovičky. In the building of the municipal office, there is a Mini Museum of Border Defense. The exhibition is divided into two parts: the first is dedicated to the first republic, the construction of fortifications, and border security; the second acquaints us with the activities of the Border Guard after World War II. After the village, at the U Ivana crossroads, we can leave the route and visit the natural monument Jecmeniště via the green tourist mark, with significant vineyard slopes on Ovčí Hill. We continue through Hatě to Kleinriedenthal, passing the Schatzberg lookout tower. In the village of Ragelsdorf, we will join EuroVelo 13, which will lead us to the town of Retz.
