World Cup Red offers an exciting and flowing ride for experienced riders, featuring numerous jumps, drops, and wooden structures.
The trail starts at Gondola2000 cabin lift and follows at the beginning the same trail as the World Cup DH Black. When reaching the tree line, the World Cup DH Red trail offers the possibility to take a transition route to the Santa's Cabin trail.
After sharing the initial section with the blue route, the red trail diverges onto its own path with tight twists that challenge the cyclist's balance. After navigating the chicanes, riders cross the G.2 slope and head towards the next berms and the first wooden drop of the route. Once past these features, a long straight section opens up, allowing riders to build speed for the upcoming jumps. After the jumps, riders can either continue onto the World Cup Black route or take the long, gentle curve under the lift cable towards the course’s first wooden berm. This structure launches the rider from the lift line towards the West slopes and into the next turns leading into the forest. Soon, speed is built up on the endlessly long straight, where the brakes are no longer needed. However, fingers must be ready for the next berm, as a narrow and tight turn is ahead. Soon the trail reaches the area next to the G.1 transition slope, where the most action-packed section begins. Speed is gathered from high berms, aiming for a right landing from the corner, and enjoying the weightlessness from two consecutive jumps. Following this, the trail curves towards massive wooden berms, using a wooden wall ride to build speed for a wooden jump and rolling turns. Speed is tested at the next wooden drop and then there’s a moment to catch your breath as the journey continues from the dark forest towards the G.2 slope and over it! The trail dives back into the woods, leading to the most thrilling gap jump on the route or its bypass. Both route options guide the rider towards the revamped berms and jumps in the final section.
