Taunus tour

This challenging gravel bike tour starts in the Frankfurt city area and leads via Bad Homburg directly into the heart of the Hochtaunus Nature Park. With the alternation of an urban start and a quickly emerging forest landscape, the route offers a real low mountain experience early on. After crossing dense forests and long gravel roads, a stopover steeped in history awaits at the Saalburg Roman fort. This is where the enduring climb up the Großer Feldberg begins, which winds its way through the Taunus on varied terrain and steep sections. The highest point in the region offers spectacular views of the Rhine-Main region and the heights of the low mountain range.

The summit is followed by a varied passage via Kronberg and Schwalbach, alternating between fast sections, further short climbs and quiet gravel paths. The route combines a sporty challenge with a variety of landscapes - perfect for anyone who wants to combine gravel biking with a nature experience.
