This enjoyable bike tour spoils you with spectacular landscapes and offers impressive insights into the interesting border area of the southwestern coastal region!
The highlight is undoubtedly the impressive stopover in the sleepy climbing hub Osp. The very small village - with around 180 residents - belongs to the municipality of Koper in the Primorska region and is located near the Italian border.
The varied route mostly passes through very sparsely populated areas, along lightly trafficked roads and structurally separated bike paths, sometimes also using gravel tracks.
The key sections of this tour are the steep gravel ascent to the church Sveti Miklavz and the very steep and somewhat bumpy shortcut to Kubed! Here it gets technically challenging, the rest of the route is easily manageable...
All in all, a captivating and insightful bike adventure that leads through vineyards and olive groves into the remote corners of Slovenia. Trained bikers can plan for well under 3 hours of net riding time; those who prefer a leisurely pace will take about 5 hours – each as they wish!

Basically, this route should only be ridden with the attached GPX track, good orientation is still required!
Except for the two key sections on steep gravel, a very enjoyable bike ride, also doable with pure racing bikes – with slightly wider tires – quite feasible!
