Lednice -> Janův Hrad -> Rakvice -> Přítluky -> Zaječí -> Nové mlýny -> Nejdek -> Lednice
When you say the town of Lednice, you will surely immediately think of the romantic castle, a national cultural monument. In this former summer residence of the Lichtenštejn family, you can see representative halls, private apartments, excellent examples of woodcarving works, and amazing marble fireplaces. You can choose from several visitor circuits for the tour. The castle complex also includes the accessible Palm Greenhouse with a collection of tropical and subtropical plants, which is the oldest in Europe. Around the castle stretches a baroque park that transitions into a natural and landscaped area. From the town, we set off on EuroVelo 9 past the hunting lodge to the U Janohradu crossroads, where we turn left and follow the Velkopavlovická wine trail to Janův Hrad. This artificial castle ruin served as a hunting lodge. Today, you can see, for example, the large knight's hall. After the tour, we continue along the edge of the park and along the Obelisk game reserve to the village of Rakvice. From there we cycle to Přítluky and to the Maják lookout standing above the village on Přítlucká hill. The lookout with a wooden structure and spiral metal stairs offers a beautiful view of Pálava and neighboring Austria. We continue on the same cycling route to Zaječí and to the Nové Mlýny dam. Around the dam, we follow the red hiking trail. We continue through the village of Nové Mlýny along the Křivé jezero national nature reserve, which consists of floodplain forests full of pools and river channels. In the village of Bulhary, we connect to the Mikulov wine trail, which leads us back to Lednice.
