Jatkon Jotos multi-use route 12 km, Hossa National Park
The clear and narrow lakes and pine ridges of the winter Hossa National Park provide excellent opportunities for spending a winter day with various activities. The multi-use route starting from the Saari-Hoilua parking area and circling Jatkovaara offers a chance to explore the national park's winter nature by fatbike, snowshoes, walking, or skiing. The route can be completed in a day and has several resting places along it. In winter, the Ala-Valkeinen wilderness hut with its stove provides a sheltered spot for a break. Highlights of the route include crossing Lake Pitkä-Hoilua about halfway along the route, the adjacent Hoiluansärkkä, and the Muikkupuro lean-to near the end. There is one bigger ascent to Jatkovaara about halfway, but otherwise the elevation changes along the route are moderate, making the route suitable also for beginners.
