The area around Laaer Berg to Rauchenwarth offers great gravel roads that can be combined into gravel routes of various lengths. Once you have left the city behind, you rarely meet other cyclists here and can fully enjoy the wide-open landscape and the fast gravel paths.
After starting at the main station, you have to struggle through the urban jungle for a few kilometers before reaching the Laaer Berg area, from where you get new views of the east and south of Vienna. After a stretch on the cycle path to Schwechat, you reach the gravel roads that allow many combinations. In this case, we follow them to Rauchenwarth and then a mix of gravel and asphalt back to the main station.

At the main station, we follow the cycle path along Arsenalstraße to Laaer Berg, where we finally reach unpaved paths. We follow these until we turn into the cycle path to Schwechat along the Liesing at Kledering. We cross Schwechat and follow the gravel roads through the fields until just before Rauchenwarth. Passing the beautiful Bründlkirche, we now follow a mix of gravel, cycle, and side paths back to the main station.
