The route starts in Thalfang and initially leads gently uphill on varied paths between open meadows and short forest sections heading towards Neunkirchen. From there, it goes over the typical Hunsrück heights, where wide views accompany the route. Then follows a short detour down into the Dhron Valley before a longer climb back up to the plateau awaits. In the last section, the route mostly rolls downhill back to Thalfang.
