Directly after starting in the center of Saalbach, you head onto the promenade and follow the official signs downhill and enjoy a great bike path mostly on gravel surface to Maishofen. You follow the official bike path to Neunbrunnen and then cross the federal road at the underpass/Lahntal. Shortly after the horse paddock, you turn left into a technical gravel section in the forest. Afterwards, you return to an official bike path toward Saalfelden and follow the signs to Leogang and then to Hochfilzen. In the district of Oberwarming, you turn sharply left onto the “Tennweg”. At Mühlgasse in the district of Feistenau, you orient yourself south again. Shortly after, you pass the guesthouse “Eiserne Hand” before a rather difficult uphill awaits. After the ascent, the forest road winds flat toward the Spielberghaus where a welcome rest is reached. From the Spielberghaus, it is about a 10-minute downhill back to the center of Saalbach. Have fun!

“Easy Gravel” is basically not as easy as it may seem at first glance, but a nice introduction to the gravel adventure of Saalbach. First, the easy part of this gravel round with start and finish in Saalbach: Directly after the start in the center of Saalbach, you head onto the promenade and follow the official signs downhill and enjoy a great bike path mostly on gravel surface to Maishofen. You follow the official bike path to Neunbrunnen and then cross the federal road at the underpass near Lahntal. Shortly after the horse paddock, you enter a technical gravel section in the forest. The difficulty here consists of sandy sections which require good bike control. Afterwards, you return to an official and gravelled bike path heading toward Saalfelden station and follow the signs on the bike path to Leogang and then to Hochfilzen. In Hochfilzen, you take the bike path toward St. Ulrich am Pillersee but turn sharply left in the district of Oberwarming onto the promenade “Tennweg”. At Mühlgasse in the district of Feistenau, you orient yourself again towards the mountains and Saalbach. Shortly after, you pass the guesthouse “Eiserne Hand”, the gravel path meanders gently into the valley before a rather difficult uphill awaits the gravel biker. However, the uphill is relatively short and climbable in 30 minutes. After the ascent, the forest road winds flat toward the Spielberghaus, the highest point and a welcome rest is reached. You can enjoy the break here for longer, as from the Spielberghaus it is about 10 minutes downhill back to the center of Saalbach. Have fun!
