Bike route (MTB with luggage rack) through Andalusia, mostly on the #Transandalus - excluding the districts of Almeria and Cordoba. Between Andujar and Seville, the train was used (daily, in the afternoon). Offroad share about 50%, mostly on well-ridable tracks (pushing: about 1%). Stunning landscape through many nature or national parks. Overnight stays in hotels along the route. The original is available at transandalus.org. We skipped the very "tough" sections with too much pushing and took the road instead here. A description of the route is available at rodilladepain.blogspot.com
Total distance: 1400 km, daily about 600-900 meters of elevation, time estimate: 4.5 weeks, with 23 riding days and one rest day per week

All routes were rideable with luggage (for us 2x bags on the rear, 1 handlebar bag = 13kg) (except for a few pushing sections, which you would have to push even with an empty bike).

Roadbook
Direct Lufthansa flights to Malaga (daily). At the first hotel, it is best to deposit the bike bags or the box there and pick them up again at the final overnight stay.
Cost per bike for one-way: 50€
Public transport
You can use the trains of Renfe (only the Media-Distancia) with the bike. Buying the ticket (cash only) is possible on the train. The bike compartment only has 2-3 hooks to hang the bikes. If these are full, it gets difficult. Possibly, you can store your bike in the nearby luggage compartment.Coordinates

Tire width > 2.0 inches, as many offroad sections can be soft/sandy at times.
Along the way, there is usually good water supply from public sources; for emergencies: carry Micropur.
