I will be there in December - is this trail doable in the dark?

Levi

The trail from Kittilä to Levi is unfortunately not open generally in December as the crossing of the river Ounas is still not possible. But you can xc ski either in Kittilä or in Levi along a number of trails (depenidng obviously on the snow conditions each winter) fro about 10 am to 2pm with no problems of lights and after 2pm with a headtorch - if you are a good skier - or along the illumminated trails. Following infogis.fi/levi and infogis.fi/kittila you can see which trails are open and prepared. Welcome to Levi/Kittilä!
