Consorzio Alta Valle del Potenza e Scarzito
The gorge falls within the territory of the Municipality of Sefro (MC) near the homonymous hamlet of Agolla. Locally, the toponymy is "Fossu Granne d'Agolla" and on the map it is indicated as "Fosso Maraone" on the west side of Monte Primo near the Fonte Meregna stream. The gorge develops on the rock formation of the "Massive Limestone".
Brief description: it is a small gorge of magnificent setting, as is the path for the approach. Starting from elevation 685 m, a series of small drops follow with minimum 3.0 m and maximum 18 m (about 1 h 30').

Access:
Located between the Municipalities of Pioraco and Sefro (MC), the gorge can be reached by a path easily visible near the church of Agolla, following the CAI signage "sentiero Fonte Meregna" which leads to Monte Primo (path no. 242). The hamlet of Agolla can be reached both by ascending from the Municipality of Pioraco and by descending from Montelago.
To access the gorge, follow the marked path no. 242 until the deviation onto path no. 243. After a short climb, the path becomes flatter until the white/blue signs indicating the start of the gorge.
Return:
At the exit of the gorge, follow the creek bed trail up to the municipal road and, after walking about 1 km, return to the car (about 20').

Directions
BY CAR
You can reach it either from the Marche side, passing through Castelraimondo or Camerino, or from Nocera Umbra coming from the Umbrian side.
From the North: highway A14 (Bologna-Taranto) Ancona Nord exit; from here take the expressway to Rome, the S.S. 76 of the Esino Valley up to the Albacina exit, direction Matelica-Castelraimondo-Camerino up to the junction for Pioraco-Sefro-Fiuminata 1 km after Castelraimondo;
From the South: highway A14 (Bologna-Taranto) Civitanova Marche (Macerata) exit;
from here take the expressway S.S. 77 Val di Chienti up to the Camerino exit, direction Castelraimondo and then Pioraco-Sefro-Fiuminata;
From Rome: highway A1 northbound, Orte-Terni exit, follow the road towards Foligno, then Nocera Umbra and the Cornello Pass, regional border, along the former S.S.361 Settempedana, now S.P.361, which connects the Macerata area with Umbria from east to west, passing through the Municipalities of Fiuminata and Pioraco.
