Experience report: My first beginner canyoning route in Bavaria
For a long time, I wanted to try something new – and the beginner canyoning route in Bavaria sounded exactly like the adventure I was looking for. Together with a few friends, I headed to the Outdoor Center Baumgarten, excited about what awaited us.
After a friendly welcome, we got started immediately: We received our equipment – neoprene suit, helmet, and harness – and clear instructions from the guide. Safety was the top priority, but at the same time, you could feel the anticipation and enthusiasm in the group.
Then the descent into the gorge began, and the first view into the valley was impressive. The water sparkled in the sun, and the nature around us was untouched. We started with a jump into the cool water – the perfect refreshment! Then followed a varied section: natural rock slides, small climbing sections, and rappelling down a waterfall.
What I particularly liked was how versatile the route was. There were moments full of adrenaline, like jumping from a rock into deep water, but also calm sections where we could enjoy the beauty of the gorge. Every part of the route was exciting but never overwhelming – truly ideal for beginners!
After about two hours full of fun, thrills, and impressive nature, we were all thrilled. Our guide led us safely and with lots of humor through the route, so I always felt well taken care of.
If you also want an unforgettable adventure, I can only recommend the beginner canyoning route in Bavaria. The route is offered by the Outdoor Center Baumgarten, known for its professional organization and wide range of outdoor experiences.
