The heights of the southern Black Forest can be reached through some valleys of right-bank Rhine tributaries with even gradients. This tour takes us from Basel along the Rhine to Rheinfelden, where we change to the Baden side and continue up along the Rhine to where the Wehra joins the Rhine. We now follow the Wehra via Wehr to Todtmoos Au and finally climb the heights before Gersbach. The descent is into the Wiesental and along this further Black Forest stream back to Basel.
